I’m a PhD!!

I successfully defended my dissertation in June, and I believe that I’ve successfully navigated the NCSU graduate school bureaucracy so that, barring me not turning in my library books, I’m now Dr. Ball! Below is a link to my dissertation.

Hi, welcome to my research website. This site is basically here so that I can share some of the work that I’m doing in my doctoral research on variational integrators and the use of moving frames in mechanical systems. I think what I’m doing is pretty cool, I hope you’ll enjoy it. Just use the menu bar above to read about my work and see some visual examples.
